Over the last few months shoppers have expressed real concern about the removal of charity bins for foodbanks and other such charity bins in Asda Stores across Moray.

Around Moray personally contacted Mr Clark asking him why Asda have decided to remove these

charity bins from Asda Stores.

Mr Clark said:

"As a retailer who is committed to supporting our local communities we never intended to stop food banks or similar local charities collecting in our stores.

We made some changes to our community program around unmanned collections in the belief that this would benefit the many local good causes who collect in our stores

On this occasion our customers and colleagues have told us they understand our intentions, but prefer us to continue to give charities more options to maximise donations. We are therefore reinstating unmanned collection points."

Mr Clark also said:

"I’m pleased I’ve had the opportunity to explain this to Around Moray".

I'm sure many Charities across Moray and the rest of the UK will welcome this news.
