This wasn't a game for the faint hearted. Elgin City started the day top of the league with hosts East Fife in second.
The game got off to an awful start with Nathan Austin hitting the back of city's net on six minutes with a low shot past Elgin's keeper Mark Hurst

City struck back on 22 minutes as Dylan Easton followed-up on Craig Gunn's Header to make the game all level.

The hosts hit back in the space of just a few minutes when Nathan Austin took the ball around Hurst and slotted the ball into an empty net for 1-2 East Fife.
The game was put to bed in the 76th minute as Kevin Smith deflected home Scott Mercer's driven shot on goal.
East Fife replaced Elgin as league leaders by one point with City still having a game in hand.
