POLICE ARE APPEALING FOR INFORMATION FOLLOWING A HIT AND RUN IN KEITH.

The incident that took place on Church Road at about 5:30pm on Friday.

A silver Renault Clio was struck by a Red van and sustained extensive damage as a result,

however the driver of the Red van left the scene.

Investigating police officer Mark Douglas said: "I would encourage anyone who witnessed this incident to contact police with any information they might have.

"I am particularly interested in hearing from anyone who saw the red van fleeing the scene and saw where it went.

"The van would have suffered significant damage to the front, and it would have been obvious to other road users that it had been involved in an accident."
