Election 2016: SNP Candidate for Moray is asking the electorate for both Votes SNP on May the 5th.

It has been an enormous privilege to represent Moray in the Scottish Parliament for the past ten years and I'm now asking the electorate to use both votes on 5th May for the SNP so that I can continue to work hard for you and to help re-elect the SNP Government with Nicola Sturgeon as First Minister.

Since the SNP Government was first elected in 2007, investment has

flowed into Moray with new flood schemes, affordable housing, health centres, schools, the roll-out of superfast broadband, and so the list goes on. The SNP has also stood by families and businesses during tough economic times with the Conservative UK Government's austerity agenda making life particularly hard for low income families and more vulnerable members of our society.

The SNP has frozen council tax for the past nine years, introduced free prescriptions and protected free bus fares for the senior citizens to provide just a few examples of how the SNP has helped. The economy has also been a priority with support for local industries such as food and drink directly benefiting Moray. The SNP's successful small business bonus scheme has also greatly helped local businesses by removing or reducing business rates. In the next five years, 100,000 premises across Scotland will be exempted.

The SNP is also addressing the challenges facing our environment with world leading climate change targets and with most of our electricity now generated by renewables. The new plastic bag levy is also helping clean up our communities.

Much has been achieved but there remains much to do.

The SNP's manifesto pledges to increase funding for the NHS and to support education. The next five years will see a much greater focus on the next generation. A transformation of preschool education will see the number of funded hours increasing from 16 to 30 a week helping Moray's families.

Moray will benefit from further investment with dualling the A96 and upgrading local rail services.

I want to live in a Moray and Scotland that is fair, equal, and prosperous with opportunities for us all to grow and thrive. We will use Holyrood's existing and new powers to help us do that.

I ask you for your support on May 5th so that I can continue to be your voice in the Scottish Parliament for the next five years and so the SNP can keep moving Scotland forward.
