DISAPPOINTING FROM 3 OUT OF 4 CANDIDATES.

Over the last 8 weeks Around Moray invited all 4 candidates to give our readers a statement of why we should elect them at the ballot box.

We found it very disappointing that only one candidate out of the four replied.

Around Moray would like to thank the SNP and Richard Lochhead for being that one candidate who took the time to speak with our many readers, the only one that thought we deserved a reply.

We contacted Douglas Ross of the Scottish Conservative party more than 4 times but had no reply to any of our requests. However Douglas has been more than generous in the past with PR and keeping us up to date on other matters.

We contacted Jamie Paterson of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, again no reply to a number of our requests.

We contacted Sean Morton of the Scottish Labour Party who did give us a reply.

Sean said he would give a statement to Around Moray but he never acted on his word, more than twice he told Around Moray he would give a statement and twice he never acted upon it until in the end he stopped responding to our requests.

We found this more disappointing because we took him at his word.

We can aslo inform our readers that we get no PR from Moray Labour, the only Moray party who have never shared news with our readers. I feel for our Labour supporting readers but we do try our best to get the latest news from all political party's in Moray.

We would also like to thank James Stockan who is an Independent candidate on the Highlands & Islands regional list. James had no problem sharing information about himself and what he stood for. Thank you James.

On the whole very disappointing that 3 out of our 4 candidates didn't feel that our readers were worth a reply.
